At the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) conference in Los Angeles, California February 1-4, the Castle Rock Chamber was rewarded for many months of planning and re-designing its website that was launched last August, 2010.
Castle Rock was up against some “heavy hitters” of western region chambers, such as Las Vegas, Nevada and Redondo Beach, California, that won Special Merit and Honorable Mention respectively for their websites. Another Honorable Mention went to the Gilbert, Arizona chamber.
“In addition to the hours of staff time to provide content to the site,” remarked Pam Ridler, Castle Rock Chamber’s President and CEO, “a lot of credit for creativity and functionality goes to Michael Likens, “web designer extrodinaire” and founder of gopixel design studios, inc. Likens, a chamber board director and chairman of the Chamber’s Ambassador group, believes in the value of Chamber membership and is familiar with the many resources available to local businesses that an efficient website can provide.
